The first batch are about 2-3 years old and won't hold a charge at all. I do not recommend these batteries. This is the second time I've bought these batteries. These new batteries do not hold a charge for as long as the first batch; maybe 2 days.
They state that they will work better than regular batteries, but after I charged them they only took 5 or 6 pictures. Maybe I just received bad batteries, but I would rate them as junk. Do not buy these batteries for a camera. I recharged them and the same thing happened.
They are good to start with but after a couple of charges some of them seem to fail. I have bought several packs of these batteries and have seven batteries that have failed so far. I am using a La Crosse BC-900 charger.
The first test was inconclusive. 2. BTW, the manufacture's claim on the overall capacity was not even close to the measured capacity. He conducted two tests on Duracell, Sony, Energizer and Lenmar: 1. It performed consistenly without being overcharged, but the overall capacity was not very good. Capacity test where randomly selected two batteries were fully charged and put on a regular flashlight until a complete discharge happened.
This Sony battery was the last one. My son's school science project this year was to test a set of rechargeable batteries. Long term storage test where the batteries were fully charged and stored for two weeks before measuring the voltage. He repeated the capacity test mutiple times and the clear winner was the Energizer NH15BP-4 and the Duracell came in second.
The charger is cool, the batteries are the worse I've ever had. What's the deal with that. I bought these batteries when I bought the Sony charger. Even in a clock, they last about 3 days on a full charge.
